Elliot Baek (
Appearance[]
Elliot has deep red eyes and black hair identical to Alex's, with bangs cut asymmetrically. In Zero Game, he is always seen wearing a red high-collared jacket with a black hood, white lapels, and the White Hound insignia. The rest of his outfit is black, including his shirt, pants, shoes, and fingerless gloves. He carries around a black Staff to harness his Shadow ability.
Personality[]
Though his appearance is nearly identical to Alex's, Elliot has a personality quite different from his twin. He often masks his emotions and true intentions behind a charming smile, beguiling other players into joining his guild, and treats allies and strangers alike in a docile, polite manner. He is known to be a ruthless, calculating, and dangerous player if crossed. Shrewdly observant of others, Elliot is capable of analyzing a person and manipulating them to get what he wants.
With a clear goal in sight, Elliot will strike down any obstacle or opponent that get in his way, even his own brother. Despite this, Elliot is also shown to be very caring and sympathetic to those he cares about. His villainous actions typically have an underlying purpose that he chooses not to share with others. Because he blames himself for Alex's death in the real world, Elliot's incentive to win Zero Game is to bring Alex back to life. He turns his feelings of guilt into resentment as he torments Alex in Zero Game.
Background[]
Not much is revealed about Elliot in the real world, except that he is Alex's older twin brother. Elliot believes that Alex's death was his fault, and that he should have been the one to die, not Alex. Due to this, Elliot entered Zero Game in order to save Alex.[2] In Zero Game, Elliot was once pair partners with Alex, however 3 months, Elliot, in Alex's body, killed almost everyone in Blue Moon.[3] His reason is not revealed, however after this incident, Elliot has been trying to find Jay, while killing Alex.
Powers and Abilities[]
Mental Attack Cancellation[]
Elliot believes that if he pairs with Hanna, her Copier ability and his passive skill combined will make them invincible.[4] It was revealed that Elliot once changed his Passive Skill with the Random Box at the Ability Shop.[5]
Shadow[]
Shadow is an extremely powerful and versatile ability that allows its user to manipulate any shadow into a construct. Elliot often uses this ability to create a massive, shadowed monster that attacks at his will.[6] It can also be formed into weapons, traps, and large projectiles.[7][8] The only drawback of Shadow is that it can only be used with light, henceforth in the day or with Rosaline Kim's Light ability.
Staff[]
Elliot's staff is identical to Alex's, except that it is black. Elliot uses this as a medium to harness his Shadow ability and a weapon in close combat.
Trivia[]
- Elliot's ability, Shadow, is strongest during the day and cannot be activated at night unless a light creates a shadow.
- Most of Elliot's known guild members are female.
- Perry Joo is romantically attracted to him.
