Ep39 04

Inside the Operator Room, Mr. X discusses with Jay her intentions to kill the NPCs and take over the Operator position. Though he clearly explains the weight of the Operator power, Jay insists that she can handle it. Since she has a history of violence towards the NPCs, Mr. X threatens to expel Jay from Zero Game the next time she intentionally harms an NPC. Jay questions whether Mr. X has the power to remove someone from the game permanently. Deciding not to answer, Mr. X sends Jay away. After she leaves, Mr. X broods over why the Game System chose him as the Operator, believing that he lacked the confidence to properly maintain this role.

Ep39 01

Two weeks later have passed since Alex and Hanna made an alliance with the White Hound guild. Once a new Level Two NPC was chosen, Elliot took Eva, Kate, and Kyle to clear the level. In Alex's Home Base, Alex lays on his bed, staring at a marble with the White Hound insignia engraved on its surface. Deciding not to mull over their newfound alliance, he grabs a towel and a bowl of water. He heads over to Hanna's room, where she has been laying unconscious for the past fortnight, recovering from her wounds. As soon as he enters, Alex realizes Hanna has placed a pillow in her bed to fool him and is nowhere to be seen. Aggravated, Alex leaves the room to track her down, not noticing the note she left behind explaining that she is heading to the Ability Shop.

Ep39 02

At the Ability Shop, Loveme unwillingly greets Jay, who has returned to her normal appearance, and sells her an Identity-Changing Ticket with a seven-day extension. As Jay leaves, she bumps into Hanna, who fails to recognize her without the Gina Park appearance. Approaching Loveme, Hanna hesitantly asks if they are acquainted in the real world. She notes that her mother's name is identical to Loveme's, but before she can continue, Loveme interrupts her with a hug. Tearfully, Loveme apologizes for hiding her identity even though Hanna was right beside her, reminiscing how small Hanna was the last time she embraced her. As tears begin to well up in her eyes, Hanna apologizes for entering Zero Game, confessing that she was desperate to meet her parents again. Outside of the Ability Shop, Alex overhears the conversation and quickly closes the door to give them privacy. He sighs, rubbing away his tears, musing how he always shows up at the wrong time.

Ep39 03

At the Red Moon base, Jay asks Nathan what Elliot told him. Nathan hesitantly confesses that Elliot claims Jay has manipulated the entire guild using Mind Control, omitting the explanation Elliot provided about the Mind Control symptoms. Apparently satisfied with this response, Jay decides to send Nathan to spy on the White Hound guild, claiming that this will determine whether or not he will betray her. Jay compels Nathan to die if he ever betrays her and erases the incident from his mind. Recovering, Nathan recognizes his confusion as symptoms of being Mind Controlled and realizes that Elliot was telling the truth. Clenching his fists, Nathan pledges himself to Jay, confessing that he is willing to do anything for her.
