Jay, also known as Jade Lin, is the main antagonist and the third ranking player in Zero Game. He disguises himself as the former leader of Blue Moon, Gina Park, and is the current leader of Red Moon.

Appearance[]

Before Jay took on the appearance of Gina Park, he had dark, red hair that reached his shoulders. he had slanted, bright blue eyes set in a long pale face. After using an Identity-Changing Ticket to pose as Gina, Jay adopts Gina's large green eyes, and short blond hair. his face is marred by a long scar, and he is often seen wearing a full-face black mask with the Zero Game insignia. he often dresses in black with a large cloack and a necklace with a red moon pendant, symbolizing the Red Moon guild. However, after the Identity-Changing Ticket wears off, Jay's features return back to his original face and structure with the exception of his hair, which remains blond.

Personality[]

Jay is a very ambitious player who is set on rebuilding his life in Zero Game. With a pessimistic view of the outside world and people, he is extremely manipulative and ruthless when carrying out missions. Using her Mind Control ability, Jay has manipulated his guild into perceiving his as a kind and caring leader when in fact, he lacks empathy and has no qualms tossing allies aside for personal gain.

Background[]

Jay was originally part of Blue Moon as well as a close friend of Gina Park. When Gina fell ill and was bedridden, she was no longer able to actively command her guild. Jay used this to her advantage and proposed to use the Identity-Changing Ticket to pose as Gina. Since he did not want to see his guild members fighting with each other, Gina gladly agreed to Jay's proposal.[1] However, once Jay began posing as Gina, he started using her Mind Control ability to compel everyone, thus breaking up the Blue Moon guild. Before Jay could successfully achieve his mission of stealing Alex Baek's 100,000 Life points, Elliot Baek interfered with his plans by storing Alex's life points into a Vested Item while killing off almost every member of Blue Moon. He cut her face marring her appearance with a long scar and took several loyal members creating his own guild, White Hound to compete against Jay.[1] After Jay recovered from her injuries, he created the Red Moon guild under the name "Jay" which grew to become one of the largest and most powerful guilds in the game. As Jay, he built his reputation as, the user who once killed everyone with more than 10,000 Life. Since Jay's ultimate goal is to win Zero Game and become the Operator, he accumulated hundreds of life points from high-ranking users by killing them. he once killed Noise's level one NPC and took down Loveme from Operator, because he simply wanted to find out if NPCs and Operators are invincible.[2][3]

Powers and Abilities[]

Lethal Poisoning[]

Lethal Poisoning is Jay's passive skill. he has the ability to produce deadly toxins that are irreversible with any potion. he most often uses a large, green sword to inflict his poison onto other players. he was first seen using this ability on Eva and Kate Lee during the Battle Intrusion. However, Perry Joo's Detoxification skill can dilute and counteract the inflicted poison.[4]

Mind Control[]

Mind Control is Jay's SS-level ability which allows his to compel another user up to three times per person. he must make eye contact with his target in order to activate his ability, and the compulsion lasts until the mission is complete or the target dies. Jay was also shown to successfully compel Johan Lee through a mirror as well.[5] Since Jay has already cleared Level Three, he has learned his ability's limit break. His Limit Break allows her to compel a targeted user without making eye contact up to three minutes.[6]

Trivia[]
